Saturday 7th February 2015 With Kay Lawrence And Others.
From our work at Junction Community Church running bereavement counselling and bereavement support groups over the past 3 years, we noticed that people were grieving, not just for the obvious loved one who had passed, but there was grief linked to other issues, not involving a death. It identified to us a need. People are carrying grief due to a range of life experiences and many times, people are grieving for others who are still alive.
This revelation has led us to explore further and we are pleased to be putting on the Living Loss Seminar. The aim of the seminar is to highlight and bring awareness of the grief we may be carrying in the natural course of life. With this realisation, we can seek help, even self-help, and be empowered to help others.
The key speakers throughout the day are experienced in this area of living loss within their respective ministries. There will also be others sharing who have been through bereavement and living loss. We will be sharing tips for self-help and also giving information about help and support within the church and the community. Our belief is that in spite of the traumatic experience of living loss, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning Psalm 30:5 (KJ)
